I actually got mine for our baby shower. I used it for the first time on Wednesday and was very pleased with it. It has pockets on the back that I can put things in (coupons,) and little soft toys for Maggie to play with. She chewed on them quite happily for the whole trip to the grocery store. I wouldn't have wanted to put my little 5 month old in the cart without it. Yuck.

I'm sure you'll like yours. I might just sew one for my sister's little boy, though. It seems like it would be easy enough to sew without a pattern.

Can you tell me where I can buy one of these shopping cart covers? I was so excited to see that they even exist (we're always wrapping a million receiving blankets around the cart).
Thanks,
Tara

This pattern seems easy enough. I can't wait to try it. We had my daughter in the cart, and my boyfriend had to keep his hand on the bar, since she instinctively leaned forward to suck on it. YUCK.

Good luck in your search. I hope you find the right pattern or cover for you!

Edit: Ooops. This looks more like a chair cover. My sister in law used these instead of a high chair. She would have my nephew up in one of these, with phone books on the chair seat to help him reach the table. Sorry!

I got mine, which is call The Floppy Seat Cover, at Babie's R' Us.... I LOVE it! The fabric has animals all over, so my two year old enjoys naming all the animals while we shop. It also rolls right into it's own carry bag when you're through with it!

What a great invention these things are!
