Hi, I am working on a hat for DS for x-mas and it is the earwarmer hat from LTk.

I know how to do short rows where you are going to purl the row after you slip but this pattern calls for continuing knitting which puts the yarn on the wrong side of the needles once I turn to go back.

So what do I do? Do I just slip once, pull yarn through and turn? DO I still need to get the slipped stitch back to the left needle before turning and knitting.

HELP QUICK, I have to make two of these before Christmas.

Haven't heard from Teresa, maybe my e-mail never made it.

I think I may have figured it out but don't want to go any further before hearing from someone who really knows.

Sorry for not getting to this earlier, I was hoping to get Dh to snap pics for me last night doing a swatch, but it was macgregor's birthday and we all crashed from too much cake, LOL!

Anyway, when you get to the point where you're ready to turn to do the first short row, instead of slipping the stitch, then brinign the yarn forward, then bringing yarn back and slipping hte stitch back and turningbring the yarn forward, then slipping the stitch, then bringing it back and turning (which is how you do a sotckinette short row) you'll do this:

bring the yarn forward, then slip the stitch, then bring yarn back, pull it snug and then turn. the yarn will be in the back, ready to knit the next stitch
