Okay, I'm making Aubrey DoodlePants and making short rows for the first time. The instructions say place stitch marker at 1/4 stitches and 3/4 stitches. When you reach stitch marker B, work a short tow back (was able to do that).

When you reach stitch marker A, turn back around and continue knitting for 3 rows. Okay. This part is where my question is. Do you count rows from starting at marker A or at the start of the row for total of 3 rows?

Thank you!

The start of the round is always where you count from. After finishing the 3 rounds after the short-row round, counting round from the middle of each side, the front will have 4 rows, the back will have 6. I know when I am keeping track of soaker rounds I always count from the center front to find out where I am in the pattern if I've lost my place.

ND~ aww, can't wait to see her in it!! Baby A is adorable, just like her sisters!!

thanks for the input on the short rows. Now I that I have done them, I have another question. I was so excited to be making progress, that I forgot to switch to larger needles after the ribbing, so I need to frog about 12 rows and do it again.

So, I did the wrap yarn over to prevent holes when turning for the short rows, but I still ended up with holes....any tips?

Thanks!
