about ants in my squash flowers? Do ants harm plants? Do they help them pollenate? Could I be any more clueless?

I just read that ants don't harm plants...depending on the type of ant. I was reading on the hgtv site (I just did a search for ants) about ants and how to get rid of them in the house. There are a lot of articles so you kind of have to browse around to find what you are looking for.

most ants are ok unless you have aphids, they milk aphids (like they are cows sorta for ants) and they sorta farm them and will protect them and move them around to the best food, it is actually really cool to watch ants farming aphids but it is really irritating if the aphids are hurting the plants
