Today, my 15 mo DD pee-peed on the big toilet! I was changing one of her afternoon diapers and she furrowed her little brow while I was reaching for a new dipe. Well, I asked her if she had to go pee-pee and she let out a little...but held back the rest. So, I carried her to the toilet...and finished pee-peeing! She has alerted us to most of her wet or soiled diapers for a couple of months now. Plus, she almost always shows interest in the toilet while we are going...does any of this mean she is ready to start potty learning? If so, how do I get started? Thanks for any assistance!

I started PL with my son when he was 16 months and 3 weeks...officially, that is. We had been sitting him on the potty a few times per day for a week or two before that. He is now 21 months and only wears diapers to sleep (but is dry 95% of the time in the morning and 100% of the time after a nap).

I'd recommend you check out Diaper-Free Before 3 by Jill Lekovic. I got my copy from our local library. It gives good advice on getting started. I have changed my approach as my son has become more used to the potty and I have talked with other moms who are potty learning.
