Hey there Shelley. Sorry we haven't caught up at all since you've relocated down here. Pm me and we can try to get together if you are up for it.

woodstar-congrats to your dh on the job. You sounded like you really love it down here. Houses are so expensive here, at least for us. We're in a really reasonable apartment right now. When we do buy, we'll probably go out to Castle Hayne. Look me up when you come down. I'm always looking for other ap/nfl mamas here.

Hey - another Wilmington mom here! I live in the Ogden area. Do you guys know of any AP-friendly child care options in the area? I'll be going back to work soon, just part-time.

My DH was offered a job in Jacksonville (I know, yech!) so we were thinking Hampstead may be commutable, and seemed a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of Wilmington, which is what we're into.

Any thoughts on Hampstead/Scotts Hill? Other suggestions?

We would appreciate any input- we have to give an answer to the job offer ASAP.

Thanks in advance,
Mary

ACsmom- What hours childcare are you looking for? Are you looking for the summer, school year, year round? I teach at a very AP cooperative preschool. I also run summer camps. There are a couple schools that I looked at for dd besides mine. I'd be happy to give you names.

pjmjt- I honestly don't know much about Hampstead, but it does seem like a very appealing place to live. Away from the city, but close enough that you could go in when you wanted w/ not much hassle. Also that area is being more developed, too, as is most areas outside of Wilmington.

I live in Hampstead and I love it! We are within 30 minutes of WIlmington with shopping but it is very nice and quiet. A lot of retired folks live here. Best is I am near a vax tolerant ped and a wonderful midwife!!!!!!!!!!

We are growing and there are some traffic issues southbound but the air is clean and the people are very friendly.
