Hi, mamas.

1. Does anyone have a picture of a flag before it was ever washed and then a comparison picture of the same diaper once it's been washed?

2. Anybody wanna show me your flags? I love looking at them.

3. Who got the laurel burch christmas semicustoms? Aren't they ?

HOlli, your flag collection is IMPRESSIVE. Hopefully, she will have some of those fabrics still, as I am ordering some custom FLAMs... Yes, I know I have 30 something newborn fitteds, but not ONE FLAM.. I think I will order about 6 and those fabrics are SO cute. Have you had some of those fabrics awhile? (I especially liked the dragon and unicorn ones.)

I'm still waiting for my last custom order (16 OC velour lined FLAMs & FLAGs...we had it sent to a coworker in NJ thinking DH would be travelling down there in December, then it looked like January and now maybe not at all!!! I want my FLUFF!!!)...but here's what we have in the meantime.

FLAMS (there are some VKs smalls and a xs Firefly mixed in here, but the top row and the first two in the second row are FLAMs)

FLAGS - SIZE 1

FLAGS - SIZE 2

Holli, I *love* that fairy flag! So cute! Great collection!

and MuhajibahMama, you have those cute leaping frogs! Another great collection!

I only have 3 right now: the raining cats & dogs flag, the flying angel christmas flag & a bugs in jars flag that is cute but I sometimes wish I could trade for something girlier

I think they're my favorite fitteds, though. Certainly my favorite for running around the house with only a diaper on!

When I got my first FLAG, they quickly became my favourite diaper. I love her size1 shells too (the size 2's are just too big for us). They are still one of my top 5 favourite diapers...otherwise, I would not have 16 more coming, but I find I really like the size 1's better than the size two, but I only have knit outers in size2 and my last custom was only woven outers and I've been told that I will like the size2 woven outers much better (and I think this will probably be true). I also found that Celestial Baby diapers fit a lot like my FLAGs, sort of like a size 1.5, so I got a bunch of those before she closed. That leaves me with really only 3 diaper brands that I've tried and adore...although I am starting to feel a bit of the el bee love...but why bother when it is impossible to get any.

Holli, have you washed the all hemp ones yet? They looked pre-washed to me, and I just recently discovered that flags shrink A TON in their first washing.

It's funny to hear y'all say you like the woven outers. So do I. But I thought I was the only one. I thought most people prefer the knits.

I had one of those gorgeous red/orange dragon knit flags, but I was scared that it would wear too much too fast, so I sold it. The wovens certainly look newer longer.

I have an elbee, too, and I think I'm swooning more over the flags than the elbee, crazy as it is.

But a woven elbee may be another story.

funny, thought the same thing! I *prefer* woven fabrics... I dont like the extra stretch of knits because I find they actually make the dipes mroe bulky, where a woven is tight so when its stretched it lays flater.

So, when are you going to get your custom then if it's in NJ and you're in Canada? I've been waiting to see pics of yours b/c I know you said you sent her fabric, etc. Yours sound so drool-worthy with their OV!

I have all size 2s and the knitted outers are WAY bigger than the wovens. The all hemp ones seem to be somewhere in between in size. Of course, this is just based on my observations.. no baby testing yet!

DH is going to talk to his co-worker tomorrow. We'll be sending her a nice box of chocolates for going through the trouble of repacking them and sending them up here (she has to repack them since her DD accidentally opened the package! She wanted to know if they were for dolls! LOL!) So once she does that I am at the mercy of the post office, but probably sometime before the end of January! Ugh!

Although I will say that my diapers are only pseudo organic since the soaker material is still hemp. They are just lined in the OV and the soakers are topped in OV, so I'm not sure how much I am sacrificing in absorbancy, but we've been doing great with our OC/OV Valor-Kids, so I'm not worried about the RBs.

I am really eager for the woven outers as I think they will fit my slender babe some much better. Now, those print El Bees of Kathleen have swooning in a big way, but like I said, "why dream the impossible, right?" Hopefully I will still be having babies when she isn't so busy and I will eventually be able to get a few cool ones!

SEEPAE, I agree on the bulk issue. I was a bit disappointed in my size2 after absolutely LOVING my size 1s. And I had an IRL friend raving about the size 2 fit on her toddler and 10mo old and I was wondering what was wrong with me, and then she said it was the woven outers that made a difference and how much trimmer they are. I've got me fingers crossed it's true for us, cuz I the fabrics I sent her and these dipes are going be just awesome...I want them now! Wah!
