They turned out GREAT!!!!!
:
I took a picture of them all on the line, but will have to wait to post since I'm on vacation. All but one found new homes with little ones today at my nieces birthday party. Everyone LOVED them!!!
I soaked the playsilks for a couple minutes in water with a little vinegar, then spread them in the lawn and just sprinkled the kool-aid packets over them. The reds and oranges took 2 packets each and the blues 3. A couple minutes in the microwave with a little rest and voila, pretty!!
I used 2 colors on a couple that turned out neat.
The 'color change' mixes had nice color variations
The gold-red grape was a little on the orangy side
The green-blue was a pretty turqoise
Lemon Ice has virtually no dye
Arctic apple I used SIX packets and it's very light
3 packets of regular lemonade was fairly light, more would be good.
Dr. Bronners does do a great job at cleaning up your hands (and feet!)
I would recommend doing all hot colors or all cool colors or all light colors at different times. I was pretty good about doing hot colors first, then cool colors, but I didn't keep a complete separation & a couple silks had little drops of other color. No biggie, but I would do this differently next time.
