Yup, that's me. My hair was looking so good and shiny.. it is now looking like triscuits. AWFUL. I have not changed shampoo or anything... still taking my vitamins, and I am still hormonal as hell. What gives???

I hear you, I was looking so healthy and glamorous, and my hair was shiny - now it's straw. Haven't changed a thing either. People went from telling me how great I was looking to how tired I look. Sigh....

Mine is getting a bit icky too. I am going to go get a haircut to spruce it up.

Some pregnancies do wonders with hair and some ruin your hair. Water is one of the best things you can do - keep drinking!

i never got the pregnancy locks everyone talks about... i mean, i still *like* my hair and thinks it usually looks pretty okay, but i never got gorgeous glamorous shiny hair -- if anything it's been drier/frizzier than usual.

WhAT a bummer. Is it bad that I laughed at your description, shredded wheat head?

I can relate to the shredded wheat head. That is a great description by the way. Not only has my hair lost it's luster and shine, but my nails are now paper thin and breaking. I used to have the strongest nails and now they are thin, flexible and oh, I wish I was describing my body right now instead of my nails...but you get the idea.

I'm the opposite--normally my hair is on the dry side but now its much oilier--I had to change to one of those clarifying shampoos! Plus its growing so fast right now that haircuts aren't lasting me very long--I soooo need to make an appointment!

My fingernails were GLORIOUS between about weeks 10 and 18... and then they went back to normal.

I've had a series of weird hair days over the last week, but have been chalking it up to the weather.

After Dylan was born my nails were SO dry and brittle. Post partum seemed to strip all the moisture out of me... probably putting it towards the milk.

It is odd- my nails are stronger than ever. Growing like weeds. I don't know what the deal is with my hair. I cook at work and I do wash it at least once a day- sometimes twice- so I am sure that is not helping. I can't go around with my hair smelling like steak- then my dogs don't leave me alone!

I also appear to be working on a mullet- it is AWFUL. I need a cut so bad.

You can condition your hair with mayonaise which sounds gross but totally works. Wet your hair lightly (or not at all) then work in a good amount of mayo. wrap for twenty minutes and then shampoo as usual. The egg proteins and oil do wonders for straw hair.
