Do side applix covers work well with trifolded prefolds? I've never tried one and am wondering if they will hold the prefold in place firmly enough.

Yes, I think aplix is your best bet to lay in a prefold. It keeps everything nice and snug.

What sort of cover are you looking at? I liked the bumpys, bummis and Mother Ease Rikki wraps for that.

Well, I've used some front aplix wraps and my number is up at Beccabottoms so I was thinking of trying one of her side aplix covers (along with a couple other things

) I was going to simplify....well, after this purchase I guess.

Jen, that sounds good. I haven't tried them myself. Maybe you could do a quick check with her before you have them made for that purpose.

I have a side aplix aio that gives an amazing fit, and fits longer than the snaps in the exact same diaper.
