The day after dd's birthday, dh brought her to me and asked me to feel inside her mouth - a tooth! Three days later, another one. She had no immediate preceding signs which totally surprised us.
However, about 2-3 weeks prior, she was running a low grade fever, more wakeful and night and nursing more often, oh yes & way more clingy. We couldn't pinpoint anything wrong at that time, we thought teeth, but then none appreared. In retrospect, we think it may have been tooth related, the 'working up to the gums' part.
my ds has been teething all month (he's 4.5 months) no teeth yet.
his signs: chomping down on any available finger/knuckle; his hands in mouth; drooly everywhere; slightly cranky which disappears when I rub his gums
I can't think of any more at the moment, but there are probably other ones.
My Lo is way clingy, drooling a lot, waking at night to feed when he has wee not for since he was 6 weeks old, and eating everything his hands, my shoulder, knuckles, hands etc. And he is really irratable (sp?), and needs to sleep more.
He is almost 3 months and I just thought this might be too early for teething.
