Hi there, I bought two new pair of shoes which is outrageously reckless of me but when I got them home I saw that they are not real leather, all man-made. Have you had good experiences with such shoes? I like the way leather wears as it ages, and it seems to me that the fake stuff wears weird. Any input? Should I return them? Thanks!

I don't buy leather shoes for ethical reasons, and have found that made man fake leather holds up just fine. The problem is when they start to show wear I think you can tell that they are not leather. But, on the plus side, they are a lot cheaper so you can replace them more often.

If you paid what you did because you thought they were real leather, I would return them. I find pleather wears poorly, doesn't stretch properly if at all, and makes my feet sweat worse than leather which leads to foot fungi...

I don't do synthestics very well, I'd rather wear canvas than plastic.
