Since my dd won't take a bottle I thought about introducing a sippy cup instead. She is 4 mons old. Has anyone tried it this young and had success?

One of my friends did this with her baby. She took the valve out of the sippy cup and just gave her baby sips. She also used a regular cup from time to time. It was a bit messy at first but they soon both got the hang of it.

I had to do that, my 9 month old never took a bottle either. The couple of times I had to leave her with daddy when she was 4 months old, he used a medicine dropper (we got it at riteaid) or a shot glass to give her bm.

My LC said to do this since DD is 6 months and never took a bottle successfully. She suggested a little cup or a sippy cup.

DD took a sippy cup. The Nuby brand with the silicone tip that looks like a bottle nipple. She however never learned to suck, instead she bites it and gets her milk that way. She only got it for a week while I pumped so a bite could heal.

We use a sippy cup. He only gets water from it, though. I like the Tupperware brand cups. They do not have a no-spill part in them, so they can be messy, though. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">
