I have a friend whose wife is pregnant, and they are planning to use disposibles at this point because they can get them through a student center at the school he is going to. They are a pretty pre-AP style couple, his wife is using a midwife planning a home birth, planning to sling, etc. He seemed pretty clueless when it came to any issues w/ disposies and the benefits of cloth (as my own husband was when I was so early in my pregnancy)... and I'd like to send them some information on how cute and wonderful cloth diapers are, but also with the facts about problems with disposibles. I know they have some really nasty chemicals in them that have caused: infertility in animals when tested, outlawed chemicals in some countries because of infertility issues, the same chemical that used to be in tampons that was the leading cause of TSS that has been removed from tampons but not disposies, etc. I know there are sites out there but I can't find the *really* good ones right now, and I know there are some that just lay the facts right out there about all the fishy stuff going on w/ disposibles.
Can someone help by posting links to some fact sites? It would be helpful if they're not all sites that sell cloth diapers for convincing them, I'm sure. I decided to do cloth before I even knew about all the issues w/ disposibles so this is a challenge for me to show the wonderful world of cloth to a great couple.
