I'm looking for feedback on newborn sizing for fitteds and wool covers
(can't spend a lot of money on NB diapers that my baby will outgrow in a month).

Any tips you can share about "newborn" sizes and brands? TIA!

I've read that swaddlebees and little beetle newborn fitteds tend to run on the small side, while bella bottomes fitteds tend to be roomy for newborns.

All babies are different weights and girths of course, but let's say for a 8lb baby.

Swaddlebees were the first fitteds my dd (8.8 lbs. at birth) outgrew--at 3 weeks. Next to outgrow were Kissaluvs--4 weeks. Newborn Mutts (muttaqinbaby.com) fit the longest of the nb dipes, fitting for about 8 weeks.

Loveybums wool jersey NB/SM cover fit well for those 8 weeks also, and even to about 12 weeks with my infant prefolds.

Never tried Little Beetle newborns, but had two size 1's, and they fit like a small diaper, but with a very short rise. I didn't like the fit of them.

Those were my experiences!

Would you say it was worth having the NB sizes on hand in the beginning, or do you think you could have been fine with the next size up?
