Hello~
I am from a small town and there isn't many shops that carry the clothing I like wearing. I was wondering if anyone had any EASY sewing patterns for broomstick skirts, patchwork skirts, etc. I love flowing simple skirts. (Some people would label them "hippie skirts"...just to give you an idea of what I'm looking for) I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,
If there's a skirt you have that you really like and want another but in a different style, you don't really need a pattern. Fold it inside-out and trace it with a pencil or chalk onto the fabric that you want it in, and add an inch for seams. Then all you do is sew and hem it.
If that doesn't work, you can either order some off ebay for dirt cheap, or do a search for free online patterns.

New Look makes nice patterns and are widely available. If you are interested in making hippie type strip skirt I would recommend this site: http://patternsthatfityou.com/frSkirtCl.htm It's a good launching off point. I like a ten or more strip skirt so I just adjust the measurements accordingly.
