I don't have a problem going to sleep, and generally sleep all night except to use the bathroom. So why am I *so* tired? I feel like I could fall over and haven't slept in a week. It might be worse than first-trimester tired.

Can I do anything? Take anything? I am just not a happy mother when I'm tired. My kids are calling out for reinforcements. :

I know my friend's OB said it was ok to take Tylenol PM to help her sleep. She had really bad insomnia, she would get 3 - 4 hours of broken sleep of day, for a couple months. I am sure there are more natural remedies, but I haven't needed them. I feel really tried too and am having issues sleeping at decent hours. We have been going to bed at 3 - 4am and sleeping till 10 or 11. Luckily DS sleeps the same time as me so I get ok sleep, but I hate sleeping so late!

Even when I got 10 hours of sleep I still felt so tired. Have you tried taking a walk or getting some sort of out side excercise? I know that can help give you a little boost.

I have days where I feel like that. I guess you'll really know when you find yourself with a big burst of energy that your little one will soon follow.

Discovered why someone put Emergen-C on their baby swap wish list. I had one about 5:00 yesterday and I was doing good to get in bed by midnight! :p

Me too! Except in my case it's pretty clear that all the anxiety-ridden dreams I'm having are a main reason for my tiredness. (Freud would love me, LOL). I've been really worried about getting stuff done at work before baby arrives, especially if he arrives early (no signs that he will, just "what if"). Last pregnancy, I wasn't so worried because I was only working on my dissertation, so I was really only responsible to myself. Now, I have committees, classes, etc, and don't want to let others down. I have to remind myself that others will understand that I can't fulfill all my commitments if baby comes unexpectedly early. I've also been prioritizing what really needs to get done and what could wait til after baby arrives, and that is relaxing me a little.
