Hi helpful people of MDC! lol. I love the feedback that is given here, so I have another question for you.

I have a bagful of slightly used toiletries that we don't or can't use. Many of them have been used only once (ex: a shampoo that i used once that made my hair awful but could work for someone else) and nothing like used toothbrushes or razors, etc.

I put them in the car thinking that I'd give it to a homeless person (that are always at the street corners in my city, so sad) but part of me feels like thats insulting.

Would getting used toiletries cause someone to feel like they were getting someone's trash? I'm a thrifter & take used clothes, etc from people with no problem, so maybe I'm overthinking this. But, what do you think I should do with these goods? Do shelters take used toiletries? I've donated the hotel shampoos, etc before but they were unopened.

Ideas please? Thx!

Thx DW. I thought of CL but think maybe someone who can check CL has more already than someone in a shelter or on the street. And would be more likely to throw half of it away of it doesn't suit their needs. Someone on the street could share or trade the stuff they don't want.

Cool, thx, I'll call shelters tomorrow morning to check & then FC or CL it if they don't accept.

I think I'm going to do a slightly used stuff drive in my neighborhood & gather the stuff... I can't be the only one with slightly used! I hate to think of all of that in the trash. Thx again.
