Be warned, this is fairly rude and possibly not appropriate for watching at work, but man was this funny. This is possibly the best example I've seen of how bored you can get when you're nine months pregnant... can you believe they went and bought all those snakes?

The husband in particular cracked me up. "If you wanted a cerivical check, you should have CHECKED into a hospital!"

I wonder if they had friends or family concerned that the homebirth wouldn't be safe, so they made this.

Richella, did you miss the point? I found it quite humorous, although a bit silly and off the wall. I think it goes to show just how rare issues in homebirths are. You are more likely to have something crazy like snakes fall from teh ceiling than to have your baby born 'sideways' or any other complications. I thought it got the point across quite well.

My DH has snakeaphobia! And I loved it!

I could just envision me tossing snakes at my DH during my birth. He does NOT think it is funny!

I thought it was funny and "got it" and all that. But what was the deal with the smoking at the beginning? I assumed it was going to be used to make some sort of point, but then it never was. Anyone else understand that part better?

I am assuming it was to point out that people do things like smoke while pregnant, or inhale smoke while pregnant, drink, eat unhealthy, etc. but don't say anything about how bad those things are for a pregnant woman when they freak out about homebirth.

There were a couple of things that stuck out to me. The smoking and what looked like beer bottles in the first scene. Then like ABand3 said get the oxygen tank...by the FIREplace! That cracked me up.

Not only was it a homebirth but a UC as well! Cool.
