My 6 month old has started making snorting sounds frequently during the last month. DH is concerned that she has breathing problems but she hadn't done it previously. She is currently teething the first time after getting some teeth in. She is also very active and crawls and stands. It may be because she is active or teething.

Does anyone else have a snorting baby? What causes it?

My DD snorts. I think its so funny! I figure she does it cos it sounds and feels funny and gets a great response from those around her

DS was/is a snorter too. He thinks it's funny and so do I! If it is behavioral, for entertainment, ect then don't worry about it, it's pretty common. If you think it's a breathing/congestion/ect thing then have her checked, but it's most likely just a fun new thing she learned.

Boy I hope it's normal, all four of my kids did/do it as babies.
