I was talking w/ a couple of coworkers today at lunch and found out some neat stuff! One is a nursing student, so anything medical w/ her I'm cautious about discussing. The other is a swimmer - I know nothing more about him. Till today!!

I mentioned about chiropractic and the nursing student was all, "Chiropractors are bad!" No, they're not, they're great! "They're bad!" The swimmer backs me up! *yes!* His dad is a chiro! Yay!!

So then we talk a little more and I mentioned that I'm having this baby at home. Cool. The nursing student seems open to it, so that's cool. She asked if it was a water birth and I told her I'd like to go that route, we'll see.

The swimmer's mom had both his sisters at home and he was supposed to be a homebirth, also! (Don't remember why he wasn't.)

I told him to tell his parents I like them, even though I don't know them. Oh, and they live down the street form me!

It was so nice to get backup for my decisions from someone I never would expect! (How often do guys really chime in on these conversations?)

It is always nice to find some like minded or open people! It makes talking about your upcoming birth that much more fun! -you don't have to argue and back up everything you say ALL the time. For some reason I am getting tired of feeling like I constantly have to defend my choices.
