Well, I went in for my first prenatal today and didn't like the way things went, so I don't actually have a midwife yet! I'm starting week 21 tomorrow! Ah well...maybe a UC is in my future after all! We are going to AZ for the summer, so maybe there's a great midwife waiting for me there!

I found myself with no m/w also after the one who caught my first two babes decided to stop attending births and the next one I liked had a stop date for 9 days before my EDD: . It was a little stressful with the limbo of it all, but I had my first appt with the m/w who will catch this time at 24 weeks, and it was worth the wait!

I hope you find someone that works for you -- soon, for the peace of mind.

Where in AZ are you moving to?

The problem in AZ is it will have to be "under the table" because you're technically a VBAC which is illegal in AZ for LMs to attend. Of course there are some willing to attend you anyways, you just have to find them...

I think the bulk of LMs are in Phoenix. Def post in the FYT forum to see if you can find some referrals.

Or just go UC like you suggested

Me neither. I was hoping that I would get a call from one of the homebirth midwives in my area, but its been almost 2 weeks and I haven't heard (they're underground here, so I can't contact her myself. I don't even know who she is).

I hope that both of us can find midwives and have wonderful homebirths. Good luck.
