what can I do to make myself feel better. My biggest problem is I really dont have help, and I really am isolated. Im about 2500 miles away from my family. We are seriously considering moving because when we were up there a few weeks ago I was a completly different person. But immegration is being a royal PITA.

I dont want to take drugs if I dont absolutly have to. I hate taking pills of any sorts, I hate artifical hormones and stuff like that (Ive never been on any form of chemical bc) and generally I get every single side effect the drug is known for. So I really need to go with a holistic aproach.

Anyhone have suggestions?

How old is your babe? Can you find someone to leave him with for a few hours/week? It makes such a huge difference to have some time to yourself. Or even if your dh can take baby for a few hours so you can take a course or something at night. It helps so much to just get out of the house on your own.

Or get out to some playgroups or something mothering groups like la leche league or any other mothering groups you can find. For me I had no mother friends. So with a young infant it was hard because I didn't know anyone who wasn't working full time. You have to go meet some people, this will make a huge difference. La Leche League was fantastic for me, it got me out of the house and talking to other moms.

You can try some omega 3 oils. Something like Nordic Naturals EPA, this is excellent for depression.

thank you for your reply
My boys are 20.5 mos and 5.5mos. DH has a very odd schedual, it changes all the time. Last week he put in clkose to 70 hours, this week hopefully itll be less than 30 so I told him I was going out this evening for a jog. Alone. I havent been alone since my 6 week check up, that was 20 minutes long. nI have asked about LLL in my area (I had a wretched time nursing ds1) and was told there was no such thing around here
: NO one bfs here *sigh* Both of my boys were the only ones that roomed in and didnt have little bottle of formula in their bassinets in the hospital when I had them. Seriously *the only* babies. Theres a MOMS club here, but we cant afford the dues, Ill keep looking though Id really like for my 20mos old to play with other kids his age more.
I will look up Nordic Naturals EPA and buy some today. Thanks so much for that advice. I really hope it helps.
