So after hearing everyone talk about baking soda I decided to try it. I expected to stink by mid-day but at bedtime I still smelled fine! This is day two and again things seem great.

Is this because I still have leftover antipersperant under there? Is the stink going to show up in a few days when I least expect it?

I've been scrubbing with BS in the shower and then putting some more on after I get mostly dry. Is it really this simple?

How do you use it under your arms? Do you wet it and rub it on as a paste? Does it flake off? Inquiring minds want to know. :

For me, it really is that simple. The one time it doesn't seem to have worked really well was two days when I was extremely stressed and anxious - I think something about the chemicals associated with stress made me smell bad in a way that the bs didn't take care of. But otherwise, it totally works, even with exercise etc.

I put some on a wet washcloth and used that to scrub my pits in the shower. I guess that kind of makes a paste but I didn't make a paste ahead of time. It happens that the BS I had was the arm and hammer kind in the shaker so that's a little easier to work with in the shower than a box would be.

Then when I got out of the shower I dried off and then rubbed some more BS in my pits. Since I'd just dried off my skin was still moist enough for some of the powder to stick.

I'm not sure how well this would work in the summer when it might rub all over a sleeveless shirt but for now with long sleeves it didn't really make a mess.

This is the end of day 2 and so far no stink. I haven't done any exercise in this time, that will be the next test.

Very interesting. I have a problem with *ahem* odor and the commercial brands don't work for me. I switched to Organics (I think that's the brand) which worked for a while, but then I just started to smell like stinky lavendar. So I switched to Jason Naturally Fresh which is scent free. Oh my!!! It makes me pits smell like some funk I've never smelled before. So I'm willing to try anything.

I've been using a mixture of one part cornstarch to one part BS for weveral months. I also put a couple of drops of EO in the container & shake it well. I make about a cup at a time & store it in a rubbermaid container in the bathroom. I just put some on my fingers & rub it in after I dry off, before I get dressed. The past two days I have tried something new. I rubbed coconut oil in first, then put the normal amount of BS/cornstarch on. It worked even better than the powder alone. Even the next morning I am still fresh. I'm giong to do that from now on.
