Warning- lots of whining!
When will this end? Since the day after my BFP I've been either ill, exhausted, nauseated, utterly weak or sick to my stomach most hours of most days of the week. I'm 11wks and I'm hoping this dissipates soon. I have a 22mo DS I feel like I've been neglecting. Somedays I can't get myself up and poor DS watches Elmo so I can just lay down- though he doesn't allow me to really rest. I feel awful, mostly for him. He is very high maintenance so I'm struggling. DH works a lot of hours so its been tough.
I had like zero MS with DS...not sure whether I"m having a girl, or just out of shape this time or worn out from DS1 non-sleep and 3x a day BFing. But someone tell me it will get better, even if you're lying to me!
Today/tonight has been awful! I've had a headache all day that two doses of tylenol didn't touch (I usually don't take anything unless need be) And now I feel so bad I can't sleep...keep feeling like I'm gonna get sick

I am sorry, your body is not getting you break. Just keep in mind, that pregnancies with lots of m/s and symptoms have on average better outcomes; at least that's what I was told and make myself believe.

Maybe it would help, if you count the ok hours of the day? Sometimes I forget in the evenings (my most miserable time of the day), that I felt great in the morning.

Take care.

I TOTALLY know what you are going through. I am wicked tired and my m/s is getting worse, I think... all I want to do is sleep. My 17 month old DD has been watching TV too so I can lay down. I work at 5:30am and she and I have both been sick with a cold, so she is having trouble sleeping (thus, I am having trouble sleeping). I am anxious for the 2nd tri energy burst to come soon!

The vomiting is really taking alot of of me. It makes me lightheaded because sometimes I can't catch my breath (it is that intense at times).

blah.

Do you think you might be having a cold on top of it?

you mentioned you're still nursing. are you getting enough fluids? that may be why the headache isn't going away. A glass of lime rain gatorade usually helps me when i get one like that.

and your post is exactly how I feel right now. I'm also nursing my 17 mo old and she's going through this phase of lightly dragging her fingers all over me while nursing and it's driving me guano-psycho! I had forgotten that my first son did that when I was nursing him while pregnant with his brother. ugh. shudder shudder. just about makes my skin crawl.

it will get better. the illness and the tiredness are probably nutritional things--drink more, eat more fruits and veggies, leafy greens, etc. maybe your iron is low??

my youngest dd is also 22m--born 5/27/07
(don't worry--elmo won't ruin his future or anything--kids are resilient

I don't think I'm getting sick. I'm drinking so many fluids. I try to be good about that. If I drink anymore I think I'll just have to stay on the potty all day!
Maybe I should try an electrolyte drink though gatorade usually makes me feel ill non-pregnant.
I know my body is drained some from nursing my son. I notice that when I eat I usually feel a little better, but usually can't stand long enough to make something from my son and myself. And its a good thing our shower has a built in seat because I always get exhausted and have to sit down. Yesterday nothing was helping though.
I feel a little better today. If I keep feeling like this I'll call my MWs to get some blood testing done (they don't do that usually until my next appt 15-16wks)
Krystal thanks for the elmo reassurance, that made me feel better

It will get better. I'm finding this pg harder too because I don't have the time to rest like I did with the first. My ds is older (3.5), but I just don't seem to have much energy for him after getting myself through a whole workday. By the time I come home I'm a wreck. Dh has been picking up on dinner and clean up so much, I feel bad I can't help. There are days I get home from work and I just go straight to bed. Ds has been very sweet, but I'm afraid both dh and him are going to tire of me.
