My due date this time around happens to fall on my birthday. Cool, huh? Not really. My last two birthdays have been fairly traumatic. Last year I started to miscarry the day before and all my OB and the nurses liked to remind me was, "it was probably because of my age". I was turning 36. Anyway, I am not really a superstitious person, but I can't shake thinking about the rule of 3's. This is also my third pregnancy in a little over a year. The last two didn't make it. I am very scared of having another traumatic birthday.

Ugh. Sounds frightening, for sure. Is there any way to fudge your due date a little? If you're going by LMP, can you change to going by ovulation or vice versa? If this is your first pregnancy, you could extrapolate to the 41w2d due date that I hear thrown around as a common delivery time for first-timers. If it's second or greater, you could go by when your kid(s) were born relative to their due dates (averaging if necessary.) Anything to move the date a few days - it would help me, I'd think, anyway.

Wishing you the best with this pregnancy, regardless.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Perhaps try to think of it as "third times a charm" this time around?
I'm hoping that you have the happiest birthday ever this year

just a mama... I would fudge your EDD a bit later, too. My BF did that because her EDD fell on her mom's birthday and she couldn't handle the thought of it.

Feeling a little better. I think I will try and make "third times a charm" my new mantra, and as far as due date, maybe I'll just consider it mid November. Thank you all again
