Finally!

Sunday, August 20th from 3pm-7pm
at
Wilshire Park at NE 33rd Ave & Skidmore St

Potluck, so bring a dish to share. Vegetarian or vegan preferred. Please bring your own serving utensils. We will have labels for the food dishes so people can write down ingredients/possible allergens on their dishes.

Please bring your own dishes and cups to use for eating. We will have a few paper items if you forget.

Please also bring a blanket or chairs or whatever to sit on the lawn.

What else we need:
*Tablecloths for 4 tables (old sheets work nicely)
*Nametags for people & for food labels
*Markers/pens
*MDC sign or banner
(I am totally blanking on other stuff right now, so post any other items you think of and I will update this list on an ongoing basis.)

Please RSVP to this thread with how many adults, children, and babies you plan to come with and also what dish you will bring.

with love,
your friendly neighborhood Portland area MDC organizer who is tired and pregnant,
Claudia

Yahoo! Thank you for organizing Claudia!!

Our family will be there, minus the grumpy teenager who doesn't like potlucks!

We are:

Jake (19 mos.)

We'll bring: a big organic green salad
three bottles of sparkling juice
2 large tablecloths
several hula hoops
a bunch of sand toys
(and of course our own folding chairs, utensils, etc.)

CAN'T WAIT!

Boogermonkey (Andy-8 mos. old), Llamaface (George-hubby), and I might be able to make it. I'll talk to Llama about getting that day off, too, if he's not in Texas. It might just be Booger & me, since Llama might have to be in Texas for a business trip, ugh. Not sure what we'll bring, but I'll try to make it as veggie/allergen-friendly as possible.

Aargh, that is the same day as the LLL family picnic. Theirs is in the morning, though. The only problem is, when will Orion sleep? We will have to do the the leave early, come late thing if we try to make both.

Yippee, thanks for organizing, Claudia! I'll be there with Ron (provided I can convince him that there will be lots of other dads or partners there that don't know each other! And with Max (4.5 months).

We'll bring crackers and a layered pesto cheese spread and our petenque set (like bocce ball).

I'll be there with Clara (2) and Iris (now 9 weeks). I'll bring a pasta dish that has gluten-free ingredients and will likely be dairy free or made with goat milk cheese.

Gary and me, a rice and bean concoccion with sour cream and tortilla chips for dipping (veggie, although I might make some with chicken, too, 'cause I'm an omni like that, but NOT gluten-free), bocce ball (we have our set back! YAYYYYY!), and... your tables, Claudia?
Seriously, I WILL get those back to you THIS WEEK. Now that the conference is over, and I am now uberbuff from running around all over Reed for five days, I totally have the time and energy.

BTW, where the heck is Wilshire Park?
