It's never been much.. as in it's never left a mark on my underwear. I only see it when I wipe and only 2 or 3 times and then it's gone, but it's every couple of days. There seems to be no rhyme or reason: sometimes I've had sex within the day, sometimes it's when it's been a few days, sometimes it's after a strenuous day, sometimes it's a totally lazy day, sometimes it's bright red, sometimes pink, sometimes brown. I don't feel like I should be worried; my symptoms are incredibly strong and I've had no worrisome cramping but then I wonder if I'm just fooling myself. I just wish it would stop. I told my MW about it on Tuesday and she gave me the standard reassurance. I see her on Wednesday and I'll ask if she'll recommend some blood work or u/s or something.

I just really want it to stop.

I'm going through almost the same thing. I had light pink spotting yesterday morning, just like you are describing. Nothing since, so hopefully it's nothing. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Not in your DDC, but I went through the same thing - spotted on and off for the first 8+ weeks. I couldn't relax about it and have had two ultrasounds to reassure myself. The last one was at 8w4d and everything looked good.

I go to the dr tomorrow morning, so hopefully we'll hear a hb! I'll be 11w1d.

Good luck to you!

Have you had your progesterone checked? I spotted (and even bled) for the first 5 weeks after finding out that I was pregnant. I was already taking progesterone supplements (200mg) per day. I increased the dosage and the bleeding stopped.

we talked about this, but i was spotting too, for more than a week (i had a little today, too.) and we saw the heartbeat a couple of days ago, and everything looked great

i was going through the same thing, though... i felt like i was fooling myself too, thinking everything was probably ok when it wasn't. but it was and i'm sure it will be for you too

I'm having it too, and considering I had only one tiny incident with brown spotting with DS (and this is more and every couple days), I am all sorts of stressed and worried when I know I need to just relax about it all. Anyway, sorry you're going through it too.

So, I'm super bummed. I called my midwife and she said she thought it would be a good idea for me to get an ultrasound just to give me some peace of mind. As she is an independent midwife, she referred me to a maternal ultrasound center she has a good relationship with.

I called and they took my insurance info and scheduled my appointment for today. I started feeling relaxed and relieved that I would receive some solid information today.

Then they called me back and told me that since I had not met my deductible (because I never use my insurance) they would require a $400 deposit paid upfront.

We totally can't afford that. I told them to cancel the appointment and hung up. And then bawled like any good pregnant woman would.

that's just cruel. i'm so so so sorry that you had the rug pulled out from under you like that.

is there any chance you could go to an emergency room, tell them that you have spotting? they'll almost always do an ultrasound, from what i've heard. you shouldn't have to pay anything up front there, right?

MamaRooToo has a good idea... I think you should try an ER tomorrow...

I'm actually thinking about doing that as well, as I wasn't happy with the ultrasound I had today.

not a bad idea. I'm in Ohio visiting my family and I live in Florida. If this spotting doesn't stop, I might be heading there too... My husband is a radiologist (and is unfortunately back in Florida at home) and he sees first trimester moms (or, their ultrasounds at least) ALL the time when he's on call when they come into the ER for this very reason. That's always the first thing his hospital does... Anyway, I'm sorry your appointment didn't work out. Thinking of you...

I'm so sad and confused.

I went to the ER. They did blood work and a vaginal ultrasound.

Now, I've never been positive about my conception date. I had a crazy loooooooong cycle (60 plus days), I got a negative quantitative blood draw on CD 48. I didn't start temping until 12 days before I got a BFP (on CD 67) and I messed up temping at least 4 of those days because I was brand new at it. So, my best guess and the best guess of a lot of women here was that I conceived September 1. Which, by "LMP" dates, would put me at about 6 weeks, 4 days today. Here's my crazy chart.

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1fffe0

The ultrasound report reads:

A small fundal intrauterine sac is seen. Diameter of 11.4 mm suggests 5.2 weeks. There appears to be a yolk sac, but fetal pole or cardiac activity are not yet identified. Early gestation should be considered. Followup with beta-hCG and or ultrasound is recommended to reassess viability.

I did have a beta-hCG and it was 25,362. Which is great, but I also have nothing to compare it to.

The doctor told me that it's kind of a wait and see game at this point. I might only be 5.2 weeks and everything is fine or I am 6.4 weeks and everything is not fine. That I should have my blood work redone in a couple of days and/or have another ultrasound in a week if I haven't miscarried.

Okay.

But then when I got to our car I read the discharge papers and they read, "Advised inevitable abortion".

Inevitable? That's so definitive. And if it was inevitable WHY didn't he say that to me?

I'm even more upset and confused that I was before I went.

. Talk about confusing. I hope that you are less pregnant than you thought and that in a week or so you'll see reassuring results!! I can only imagine the stress you are under right now.

Please take it easy and don't think the worst just yet!!

I'm so sorry. That is horrible. But no matter he wrote down, NOTHING is inevitable at this point! I know the waiting is going to be horrible, but until you go back in and see those hCG numbers going up like they should, no one knows anything.

I'm sorry about this terrible, terrible stress, but try to relax and take care of yourself until you can get back in there to get an answer.
