I actually have saved 3 little boys from the horrors of circumcision in a couple of months!
One was a pregnant friend of mine in "real life" who I just explained my own expreience to...and suggested she watch a circ video if she really wanted this done to her son...
I explained how happy and content newborns are just laying in Mommy's arms and nursing...what a wonderful time it is...and how there was No Way I, as conflicted at the time I felt, was going to send him off to be circumcised...
So that's the story of how, along with internet resourses, I have participated in ending RIC in my little corner of America.
Oooo...but I also started threads on other sites on the internet people know me at...not parenting sites, but "other" sites...political sites, religious sites...and I added my "circumcision is awful" link....and I've had soooo many people volunteer in those threads that they had changed their mind about circing! And two of them were expecting!
I have a collection of people who want to participate in the "circinfo info" site I'm planning...and these people have never even questioned circumcision before! These people are Americans who never really questioned RIC!
I've lost a lot of battles with this, but just recently I really think I've started winning some here in the US!
