As you all know, my dh has been looking for new jobs, and this Omaha one seemed great BUT the headhunter told dh that he doesn't think dh will get offered it at the salary he wants. Dh wants a raise; he doesn't want to move "laterally" -- whatever, I'm so tired of living in the desert where it's 110 every day and I'm preggo and feel gross, I'd be happy to move laterally.
Anyway, the hh called today and dh was working and couldn't take the call, but the hh left a message saying he had "good news." When my dh called him back, the hh was gone for the day (2 hours diff by timezone).
So... what's the good news?!?!?!?!
UPDATE: Dh was offered less than we were hoping, although it does come with a bunch of bonuses. But it's still not enough to take the job. Le sigh.
UPDATE 2: Apparently the company wants to negotiate -- AND dh told his current company that he'd been offered a job at X salary (which is actually more than dh makes now in salary, but right now he gets a huge car allowance and car maintenance allowance that he wouldn't get with the Omaha job) and his current company said they can't match it, business is bad, blah blah. So the Omaha job is not totally out of the picture. YAY. Maybe!
UPDATE 3: Haven't heard from the company since Thursday... dh told them he either wants a higher salary OR some kind of guarantee that he'll be making X money in 3 years. The company has a 3 year contract. And now I'm back to searching monster.com.
