Yesterday we discovered my almost 11mo old LOVES LOVES LOVES.... black bean and turkey chili <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/bag.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Bag">: She was screaming bloody murder wanting some and it wasn't as spicy as usual so I figured give her a tiny tiny bite and she'd decide she didn't like it and leave me alone to eat. WRONG! She LOVED it! I'm being lazy this morning and we had left over chili and corn bread for breakfast and she decided she didn't want Gorilla Munch to snack on she wanted mommy's chili and screamed till I shared lol!

Our little guy is crazy for guacamole. I had planned to give him plain avocados as a first food, so I just let him go for it when he reached for my nachos at a restaurant the other day. He came back with a fistful of guac and gobbled it up!

guacamole, BROCCOLI - loves these two Funny thing - "don't start fruit first he won't eat vegetables." I did - start fruit first and guess what - he PREFERS veggies. So take advice with a grain of salt....no one KNOWS what babe will like

DD has eaten both lutefisk and blood sausage and loved it. I can't stomach either of them. She also loves spicy foods and really only dislikes bland stuff like mashed potatoes or oatmeal.

That was my experience with DS#1. I started with fruits, then did a sweet veggie, and he likes everything, especially green veggies! He gets excited over green beans! And that's another one that I can't stomach. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

DD's first food (just last week!) was rapini, sauteed with garlic & olive oil. She looooved it.

I haven't found anything that DD doesn't like yet. She's not too fond of plain kefir, but loves it with a little fruit. She wants and eats everything we have. Spare ribs and kraut were a hit, she ate a lemon wedge at a restaurant last weekend. She's doesn't like pureed foods though, it has to have texture!

Asparagus, raw onion, garlic chunks, and OLIVES!! That one totally suprised me. Oh, and he loves to have drinks of my chamomile tea in the morning.

Olives, Pickles, and number of fruits I had never had, little bits of pizza...<br><br>
He has a problem with mushy fruits though. Like in yogurt (he loves yogurt!) he'll suck all the yogurt off and then spit out the fruit. He has texture problems like his daddy.

10 mo old DS goes crazy over cherry tomatoes. I think he likes it when the juice squirts out into his mouth! Fine by me! They are so easy to travel with and the perfect size for his little hands!

Pickles, pickled tomatoes, tabasco sauce, olives, curry, chili, humus.. basically anything spicy or tart. She's her father's daughter.
