Depends on the age, weight and relative maturity of the child

for us, the radian came after the MA. DS outgrew the marathon before he was 4 (by height) so we got him the radian and plan to keep him in it until he is 1 inch over the slots (as per the manual) and then see what is on the market at that point. We live in Canada, so the regent isn't an option here...yet but there is a rumor of a HWH combo seat that changes to a booster being released by Britax at some point this year. I'm not in a big rush, ds is even with the top slots in the radian and I expect he'll be ok in it for a year.

Just depends on the child. AJ should be 6.5yo or so when he outgrow his Radian so I may just put him in a good booster then, but we'll see what's out then. The new Nautilus has higher slots than the Radian and Britax is supposedly coming out w/ a new seat as well w/ tall slots and will turn into a booster.
