My house has no AC, and I think we're all a bit tired of playgroup, especially since L. and E. are always overtired from their morning together.

I'd still do it if you want to, but we all do seems to be losing interest, and I'd just kinda' like to know, kwim?

Hawk Island? Zoo (free Tuesdays, now we know!)? Mall-walking (AC?)

I'm up for anything or nothing, but getting out would be nice, and preferably for an hour or two rather than all afternoon. Thoughts?

Of course there is probably a laundry issue to talk about/schedule. Smalls?

We have a doc appointment and groceries to get so we are not up for any afternoon things. Smalls, if you need to do dipes for free, you can borrow my egg and spinner

I'm up for anything as long as ds gets a nap...late afternoon probably works the best for me.

We where planning on going to Hawk Island but now I look at the weather and I don't know if that is going to happen. I guess I will see if it starts raining again and let you all know.

I could also do the zoo, if not today than before next thurs. I need to buy a membership so we can use it on vacation.

i'm easy dude! just tell me where to be & when & we should be able to do it. we were planning some outdoor stuff today, but the weather seems a bit uncooperative. so, i don't know. you guys can always invite yourselves over here too. Tie, we have a/c if the heat gets too unbearable for you, please feel free to wander over. and we have some outdor toys for the kiddos with a privacy-fenced yard. now that Maya is out of school, later in the afternoon would work well for us also. Smalls knows we have laundry services available here as well if she needs them.

Just so everyone knows, Tie asked me to tell you that her phone and internet went out this morning (due to the storm I think). So someone might want to stop by her place this afternoon to see if she wants to get out of her hot house. She was going to nap with Elli in the early afternoon, when I talked to her around 1pm, but she might be wanting to get out later on.

If anybody figures out what to do, give me a call. I think the weather would be great for the zoo...last week was just too hot for us. Liam slept so hard afterward that I was afraid he had heat stroke.

Well, now that Ive got Katies kids on Tuesdays, we (them and me) need to do something more kid-friendly, as opposed to just baby friendly. Hawk Island and the zoo are usually big hits with them. maybe we can alternate weeks, that way it doesnt get old.

Most things we are up for, though. Im pretty open.

So did anyone do anything yesterday? I just couldn't get myself motivated to go out after ds's long afternoon nap. Should we plan something concrete for next week?...I've heard that Monday is supposed to be hot again...

Ita with Smalls about alternating weeks between hawk island and zoo, but I would definitely prefer meeting up at 2-2.30 rather than earlier. Wait til the worst of the UV is past, since I prefer not to use sunscreen with miss ellroo (or me, for that matter

), and the worst fo the heat is usually dissipated too by then.

Ellie and Liam can also get naps after their morning of playing together if meet at 2.30.

So...Hawk Island or zoo for Tuesday?

I vote for Hawk Island this coming Tuesday. The forecast is calling for 90+ temps. I have a sunshade I can bring for the beach (although I prefer the splash park area). I think 2:30 would be perfect.

Ill definitely take the kids to Hawk Island. We will probably go earlier, and stay until around 3:30-4.
