So a few things have caught me off guard. 1. I suddenly have these bright green neon veins stretched across my stomach. I never had this before and they literally just happened overnight. It looks like someone drew on my stomach with a green highlighter... This happen to anyone else? I do feel really stretched out, maybe that has something to do with it? And 2. Anyone else hearing/feeling "clicks" from their belly? I had heard of other women reporting hearing clicks and I thought they were just hearing things. Well as of about a week ago I've been hearing a couple clicks here and there. I try to pass it off as something on the room making the noise or maybe my back cracking but it happens too often and at all different places and I'm convinced it's coming from my belly. Then today while my hands were on my belly I actually felt the clicks. No sound was heard though but I felt it, like someone was cracking their knuckles inside me. I wasn't moving at all. Anyone else have this? What could it be?

The clicking is just your ligaments popping. I know its odd, but thats a good thing. Do you go to the chiropractor at all? I noticed after getting adjusted on a regular basis, and her stretching my ligaments, it didnt happen quit as often.

No clicking but I am quite vein-y. It's a combination of increased blood flow to particular areas (eg breasts) and venous congestion as blood flow gets a bit restricted by our growing uteruses (uteri?). And, no doubt, some genetics in there too.

I also have a few little surface veins on my stomach which are quite blue and I'm not sure they'll go away. The big green/blue ones should disappear after the baby is born. The little ones are like spider veins on the legs I think. Damage to the walls of surface vessels, again caused by increased blood flow/pressure.

I've also heard the clicking. I was wondering what it was as well.

I'm not so sure it's ligaments... Do you have articles to support this? Because I'm not moving at all when it happens. Baby is moving and I feel the clicks in more than one spot. It's very odd.

No articles per say to back it up, but both my midwife, and chiropractor said the same thing. You dont have to be moving, your pelvis and ligaments down there are always moving, loosening up, and stretching, especially at this point in pregnancy as baby is making its decent, and our bodies are prepping for labor.

I don't really know about the clicking but just had to chime in and say that the chiro has been amazing for me recently. I move better at the end of this pregnancy than I was mid-way through, due to regular visits to the chiro. I don't really get how what he does can really make all that difference, but I don't want to stop b/c it is helping get through these big uncomfortable weeks so much! So maybe a chiro visit would "help"?
