Hmmm, I would say to taste it first and see, but its pretty hard to add sugar to cold tea, IMO. I don't drink mine with sugar, but I don't drink ANY tea with sugar, so I'm a bad one to ask! I guess I'd add some while its hot and see how you like it.

I don't use sugar either but I think adding it while its hot is better, it'll dissolve better. Just make a huge pot of it and then stick it in the fridge. I haven't tried it cold but I should, I love iced tea.

In a 4 liter (?) container, I add 8 tbs. RRL, 8 tbs. nettle, 4 tbs. oatstraw, 5 tbs. alfalfa, and a handful of rosehips. I pour almost boiling water over, COVER it tightly. Always cover when you let it steep!

I sit mine aside for 2-4 hours on the counter. Then I strain it into another container with a lid. I only add ~1 tbs. honey to the whole thing, but I do NOT like sweet tea. I drink it in my Ball pint jars so I know how much I'm drinking. I drink some with breakfast and dinner.

It's really good cold, much better than hot.
I used to fill our big pitcher with hot water and 4 or 5 teabags, add enough honey to where it tasted right, then steep and refrigerate.
