The first year was hell, I love my DD to pieces but I was sleep deprived an in a daze for a long time.

She is 15 months now and just in the past few weeks something magical has happened. She doesn't molest me anymore when we BF, I was having a problem with her twiddling
: all that has stopped.. and the best miracle is she has slept through the night 4 times in the past week. I nurse her at midnight-ish and she awoke at 6:30ish FOUR TIMES this week
:

She is in much better spirits during the day now too, maybe it is the spring, everything is just so much better.

Congrats! Sometimes the twiddling drives me nuts. I'll try to cover the other boob, but sometimes he'll get really frustrated if he's falling asleep and he can't "twiddle". I hope he stops it soon too.

I felt so bad when my Christopher did that but it's hardly even noticeable now. They used composite filling material (the white stuff) to sort of "spackle" the place where the tooth broke off for pictures and grandparents' visits at first, but it always came off within a week or two so after awhile it just didn't seem worth the money or the hassle. He's almost old enough for a crown now but he says he doesn't want one because it just isn't that big of a deal.

My current 15 month old is so easy he hardly seems human after my high needs babies. I thought the first year of new parenthood was ALWAYS a sleep-deprived semi-hallucinogenic altered state of consciousness rite of passage! Congratulations on making it to the other side and enjoy your dd. Have you tried a nursing necklace? I didn't expect mine to work as well as it does to stop the twiddling, but ds is ds, so it may just be him.
