I am currently in my 14th week of pregnancy.. I had an Ultrasound in my 12th week...
My Midwifes nurse called today, my midwife is on vacation but had left a note for the nurse to call and schedule an ultrasound for my next visit, my next visit is on July 5th but they had no openings for ultrasounds on that day so they wanted to reschedule me for July 2nd. I asked her is if this was a routine ultrasound and she said there was a highlighted area and a note saying that Cathy ( the midwife) had consulted with one of the regular Dr's and that there was something on the upper left lateral portion of my uterus... I asked her if it had anything to do with the partial placenta previa and she said no and that she didn't know any more info since Cathy was away.... I asked her if it had to do with the baby or with me and she said with me ( so that made me feel better) but in the mean time I have no idea what it could be.....
any ideas on what it could be? anyone had this before?

sorry if I posted this in the wrong area.

I sympathize. It's never fun to not know what's going on and have to wait for results.

I too had "something" on my uterus, and it turned out to be just a small fibroid. Nothing to worry about. Hopefully yours will turn out to be equally innocuous.

Yep- I also have a small fibroid. These are benign growths. But they may wanted to go and have a closer look. It could be that the last u/s showed something, but didn't get measurements or anything and that is probably what they will do next. Actually focus on that and measure it. Easier said than done, but try not to stress.

I was diagnosed with a fibroid during my last pregnancy as well; I'd wager that's what your "thing" is.

I see that fibroid was suggested.

Perhaps it could also be a subchorionic hemotoma? That's a bleed inside the lining, they are pretty common and often asymptomatic, but can cause problems sometimes. They might want to keep an eye on it, to see if it's troublesome, harmless, or goes away on its own.
