On the first day of my cycle I'm so exhausted that its hard to function-like first trimester of pregnancy kind of tired. I am generally healthy, I don't bleed very heavily (on the first day or in total) and my period is relatively short (4 days). I'm okay the other days. Is there anything I could do on a regualr basis and/or on the actual first day of my cycle to give myself a bit of a boost? TIA!

Do you take evening primrose oil? That could possibly help as it could be a hormonal fluctuation thing (?) that is causing the tiredness. I get pretty tired too during my moon and i've just begun EPO.
Also, Maybe try Yerba Mate= a tea drunk as a coffee substitute and is supposed to give good energy.
Also, I'm thinking a b complex.

I have the same problem. I try to eat more food around that time (healthy food, of course!), and I try to eat food with lots of iron such as fortified cereal. For some reason, Farina seems to help with the fatigue and cramps.
