I woke up this morning with a sexy, husky voice and a bit of a runny nose. This is the first day I have been sick. I had a different cold last week, but it had cleared up.
So, I have a presentation on Tuesday adn I am so afraid that I won't have any voice at all by then. What can I do to stop this in its tracks?
I am totally trying to not talk at all to save my voice, but of course I will need to practice my speech several times and I am a mom so I don't get to be silent!

MIL swears by a mixture of honey, lemon, and just a tiny bit of whiskey.

You might be able to skip the whiskey part of the mix, since that's for any throat pain.

I don't know about the voice part, but cayenne pepper seems to help a sore throat. I use it in the form of the "spicy lemonade" from the Master Cleanse, so I'm actually drinking it. (I have the recipe on my blog under Master Cleanse if you need it.)

Honey-lemon tea is a good idea too.

Oh--you can also gargle aloe juice. In fact, it might be good to gargle whatever you drink to help you.
