I'm looking for a comfortable baby carrier. I have a couple of the pouch slings and my one month old son screams because he can't see me. I've tried putting him in different positions, but he hates the slings no matter what I do. I've even tried putting a small receiving blanket under his head so that he's sitting up a little better- still, no difference. Considered the Bjorn borg front carrier, but my conscience won't allow me to spend that kind of money on something that may or may not work-- plus my holistic chiropractor says that the BB carrier is bad for a baby's hips and neck because they are just hanging and it's alot of pressure for them in those spots. I don't want to give up on babywearing and I'm tired of carrying my son in my arms( It gets old when you are running after a 2-year-old at the same time!!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> ) What about the ring sling?? Does that work better than the pouch??? Any other suggestions??

Mai Tais are great and would put your babe in a similar position to the BabyBjorn. Might be more comfortable for you though...I had heard similar things about the BabyBjorns being bad for the person carrying.

I think a ring sling may help because you can adjust it better so he can be facing out and sit up more. Also another option is a Mei tai which you can you Bjorn style but a more natural position for the child so you arent putting stress on hips or spine. Goodluck!
