As strange as it sounds, it was such a beautiful, healing birth for me. So TOTALLY not the way I would have preferred to birth, but my Dr. and her staff made it incredibly special for us.<br><br>
I felt so good yesterday just one day after the c-section. In fact, I felt better than I had in nearly 9 months!!! I can eat what I want and I can move pretty much pain free which seems like a miracle to me.<br><br>
I know it is incredibly vain of me, but my Dr. did an astounding job stitching up the wound - she took the extra time and care to suture me up carefully on the inside and on the outside, I only have this nearly perfect line of steri-strips. No stitches, no staples, just what will eventually turn into a lovely silvery scar. That was an added bonus to discover yesterday morning when the nurses removed my bandages!!!<br><br>
Baby Penelope Rose is snuggled up here on my chest, tucked inside my nightgown as I type. It's about as close to heaven as a girl can get!<br><br>
Smooches and thank yous to all of you for your support. For those of you still waiting, I hope you have the birth of your dreams, not matter what those dream may be! I can't wait to hear all of your birthstories!<br><br>
PS. The DPS pain was gone as soon as she was born as well as all of the swelling. It is so cool to not hurt down there anymore!
