I tried doing a search because this topic has to have been discussed but I can't find a thread on it.

Does anyone have a good source for bulk yeast? I am having a heck of a time finding it.

Are you looking for brewers or nutritional yeast or active yeast (for baking)?

For baking yeast, check out restaurant supply stores, cash & carry or even sometimes Costco will have it by the pound (in a 1 or 2 pound bag). There are any number of online places that you can buy it by the pound also.

Don't know about the others, though.

i buy it from my local co-op (3.49/lb!!!) if you have one nearby they might order it for you.

but I second amazon... for real anything food related you can't find locally you can probably get on amazon (that's where i buy coconut oil and such)

I was also going to suggest amazon....Bob's Red Mill Active Dry Yeast (if that's the type you were looking for).
