Does anyone know if there are any vaccination requirements for entrance into and temporary/ permanent residence in South Africa?
Where is a good place to fin the info? There was a line on the temporary residence app. but I wasn't clear on what it meant.
Looking at disease incidence I'm pretty comfortable being there unvaxxed, just wanting to check if it's possible to enter and stay with adults and children.

Various countries - if you're coming from an infected area

Meningococcal vaccine is required by Saudi Arabia only for pilgrims visiting Mecca for the Hajj (annual pilgrimage) or for the Umrah.

The only thing I'd be concerned about is re-entry to the US. They may have some requirements if you're comign frm certain places. I really have no idea, I just would hate for you to go that far and then have t immunize before coming home again!

If we go it'd be for 3 + years, so I'm not wondering about that as much, yet. Who knows what the US will 'require' by then?:

There are no immunization requirements for entry to the U.S.

I would probably get in touch with the SA Embassy for clarification because I think there can sometimes be a difference between what is required for short term travel as opposed to what might be required for residency.
