I'm just rounding out my first trimester, so I figured now is a good time to start looking for a doula. I'm hoping for a VBAC, so I definitely need one to help with that! :)<br><br>
Our financial resources are limited, so if there is a doula student who needs more births for her certification, that might be ideal. I'll take any recommendations though!<br><br>
I'm delivering in Palo Alto, so I think that's the Southeast Bay? I'm not so great at the geography here yet, haha.<br><br>
Thank you :)

Oh, and Palo Alto is part of the Peninsula. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">

Thank you! I will check out the site! I live near San Jose, so that's why I put SE, but I didn't know Palo Alto is a diff. section, so thanks! I haven't lived here that long. :)

Southeast bay is more like Milpitas/Fremont, where I live. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"> We are too far east bay for most south bay/peninsula folks and we are too far south for the east bay folks. We just lose. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
I would totally second the recommendation for Blossom Birth. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I know this is super-late, but if you haven't found a doula yet through Blossom or another resource, Neri Choma who teaches at Blossom and is a doula educator often helps set up doulas-in-training with families for low fees. Here's Neri's info:<br><br><a href="http://www.mamacenter.us" target="_blank">www.mamacenter.us</a><br><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><br>
