I am allergic to soy (and cooking.. ha) and am looking for soy free tofu/miso/soy sauce that I can BUY. I have seen recipes for soy sauce substitutes and chick pea tofu and miso, but does anyone know of anywhere I can buy/order these things already made???

I have never seen soy-free tofu for sale.

Miso Master makes a chickpea miso

South River Miso has two or three soy-free misos and very infrequent, limited runs of gluten-free miso tamari. I just ordered some a few weeks ago, but it looks like they're out right now. You just have to keep up with checking the site.

Oh, and I made chickpea-based tofu once. Never again. I'm about to gag just thinking about it. I love chickpeas, but this stuff was nasty. And I was really looking forward to it.
It tasted like metal, with the sliminess of slugs and slime mold and other craptastic things.

Absolutely - you can use it in any of the same recipes you would use tofu or tempeh. I know you said you don't cook, but if you can't find it in stores, it is very simple to make. I'm not that big a cook either but have managed to make it! It's especially good in stir fries with veggies.

It's hard to find soy-free seitan in stores. By definition, seitan is a wheat gluten dough simmered in a soy sauce broth. White Wave used to have a chicken-style seitan sold in a refrigerated broth-filled carton. That was soy-free. I haven't had gluten in almost five years, though, so I haven't looked for it recently.

I used to make it back when I could have gluten. I'd buy vital wheat gluten in bulk, mix it up according to whatever recipe I felt like (sometimes letting the mixer or bread machine mix it up and develop the gluten). Then I'd put the chunks/strips in the crockpot to simmer. Worked great.
