DH and I just made an offer on a house. We've been through the numbers over and over, we know we can afford it, but it will be tight. This will be our first house, and we are a bit nervous. I'd love any tips on saving on house costs, best deals on utilities, phone, internet, etc. Internet is not optional as I work from home pt online, cable I could take or leave, we need some sort of phone, I know the internet ones are cheaper, but know nothing about them otherwise. I want to see if we can get a better deal on car insurance, heat is the big one. This house is well insulated and has new windows, so thats a plus. Anyway, I'm not sure I have a lot of specific questions, but any tips will be great!
