speaking of plastics...

I read that Honda and Toyota were working on a PVC phase out. I just read that Honda was working on a phase out by last year and Toyota or was that the other way around, had developed alternatives. How can I found out the status? Contact them directly? I'm thinking the dealers would look at me like I had two heads and lie to me to make the sale. Any way to find out the real deal? I figured you mamas would know how I can get the scoop!
