how much is too much and does your baby spit up through it's nose? Brianna goes through spurts where she will spit up all day long and sometimes out her nose and then other days she doesn't spit up at all. This is all new to me as my first dd had silent reflux and all the spit up never came up...it would start to but then she would swallow it back down. This baby doesn't seem to cry or arch her back like my other one did so I am assuming she doesn't have reflux...just the normal spit up...but is it normal?<br><br>

both my kids did this, but one was colicy, and one not, I think it's pretty normal, just messy, it usually went away once they got mobile.

Spitting up is normal. I dont know about through the nose though since we have never experienced this. My little one spits up quite a bit but he is a very happy baby.

My guy spits up and it comes out of his nose sometimes <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">. It really only happens when we are nursing laying down and he just gets too mcuh too fast. I can tell a few seconds before he is going to spit up now and I make a mad dash to get him upright and grab a rcvg blanket to catch. If it does come up through his nose I have to suck out what I can with the aspirator.
