special implantation diet?

Does anyone have a special diet that they adhere to during the 2ww to encourage implantation? I know about raspberry leaf tea, but I can't easily get it where I live.

I haven't found anything online, but if anyone has any tricks, let me know. I know I am interested in this for mostly psychological reasons. I didn't notice that the green tea I drank pre-0 made much, if any, difference in CM. But there is something about "doing something" to make it work that I enjoy. I find the ritual somehow helpful.

ATruck,

I believe that eating lots of fresh pineapple helps implantation, I believe it is the bromelain, which is an enzyme that has anti-inflamatory effects (not sure exactly how that relates to implantation though).

Anyone else???
Thanks, Holiztic. I went out and bought a pineapple (for over $6, mind you), got it home, and the middle was all brown. Yuck. I cut around it and managed to have some, anyhow.

In looking up pineapple online, I found this info about IUI (but should be the same, right?)

Drink loads of milk and at least 2 litres of water a day.

no smoking, drinking or caffeine,

Pineapple Juice...the pineapple thing is supposed to be because there's selenium in them, which helps with implantation. But it should be either very fresh juice or fresh pineapple, not concentrated juice or tinned chunks. Other food sources of selenium are sesame seeds, wheatgerm, and tuna, but you shouldn't eat too much tuna either because it might contain small amounts of mercury which is poisonous! It's all way too complicated.

All nuts have essential fatty acids which are good for regulating hormones, and vitamin E which helps prevent miscarriage and along with selenium makes your endometrium healthy - apparently!

Basically you should try to eat as varied and balanced a diet as possible, with lots of fruit and veg, some nuts and seeds (sunflower, pumpkin and sesame), oily fish and plenty of protein such as eggs and chicken. And drink plenty of water. Organic is best.

If you get Zita West's book Fertility and Conception, she explains all the main nutrients you need and what foods contain them. It's quite a good book if you don't take it all too seriously!

Lots of the girls eat 'red' foods (peppers, strawberries etc its some chinese medicine thing) and some girls are using Pit Rok - which is a piece of natural rock crystal - is expensive, but will last for ever - provided you don't drop it.

Get yourself a good vitamin and mineral supplement too and remember to take 400mg of folic acid per day.

Anyhow, for fun I might try the red foods thing. And the protein. Can't hurt!

Sorry, no advice, but I wanted to subcribe to see what all the wise women around here have to say. Thanks for posting this!
Great info. I want to do something rather than just sitting around and waiting. I had pineapple this morning! My body must have known.

Thanks so much.

ATruck I really like that baby carrier you are using in the pic of your baby.
Which type is it? It looks comfy- is it?

I had wheat germ just this morning!

Sunflower seeds after ovulation can help--at least 2 T. per day. Also, pineapple, although that didn't work for me. The sunflower seeds did.

Also, I found *relaxing* to be the most important thing. If a glass of wine or a latte is going to put you in a better, calmer head space, then I say go ahead and have it.
