Special pots/pans for gas stove?

I don't know if this is the right place to be posting something about this... but in to months we are all moving to Sudbury to an apartment with a gas stove (and fireplace

). Anyways, my Dad mentioned I was going to need to buy new pots and pans to use on a gas stove... which is kind of sad because I am very attached to my gorgeous stainless steel pots and pans. But, if I have to, I will obviously get new ones.

Does anyone have a gas stove, and what do you use to cook on it?

I've never heard this before. I use regular stainless steel pots and pans on my gas stove. You may have to play around with it a bit because things tend to cook differently on fire rather than an electric burner but eventually I'm sure your pots and pans will do the job
